I've been thinking on it, and I've come to the conclusion. That we might need to lay off on Jouji just a bit. Yeah, he's a miserable little putz. But.

A) He's a teenager, which increases the douche-itude.

B) Mom probably has made him emotionally unstable.

C) We're acting a bit too like Mom.

D) I think the pressure being put on him is making him delusional. I tried talking to him earlier today, about why he didn't go in for his job, and he was crying something about "The cafe was made of bugs"

E) I wonder if we've killed his sex drive, or Mom has, because I never notice him liking anyone or mentioning people.

Noriko, you're basically the counselor, I figure you should be aware since we're effectively the family members he's in contact with.

Shikou, I mostly am letting you read this as I think your advice would help, maybe.

And Onni, you're his brother-in-law.

(Also, how difficult is it to gain control of a sibling from the parent after a kid graduates High School?)

We're controlling every inch of his life outside of school and giving him nearly 0 free time.

To the point he's seeing bugs everywhere.

As for E... he's only sixteen, isn't he? Sometimes it takes a while, but he might also simply not be interested in others. The best anyone can do is support him, instead of expecting that from him. Of course, Noriko would probably have the best idea as to that.
